Fee: No statewide fee exists. For a marriage license purchased in a parish other than Orleans, the certified copy comes from that parish's Clerk of Court, which sets its own fee — no page cited here publishes it. For an Orleans Parish marriage only, the Louisiana Vital Records Registry charges $5.00 per certified copy, with a $0.50 state charge added to each mail-in or VitalChek order; mail orders take approximately 8-10 weeks, and walk-in service at 1450 Poydras St. Suite 400, New Orleans takes cash (exact amount), check or money order only. A certified copy of a divorce decree comes from the Clerk of Court in the parish where the divorce was granted.
