What RenameKit is. RenameKit assembles public agency forms and published requirements into one ordered packet. It is document preparation, not legal advice. We do not represent you and we do not file anything on your behalf.
The verified-date promise. Every state requirement in a packet prints the page it came from and the date we read that page. Rows we have not checked are listed as unverified and cannot be bought. Rows older than 90 days print a staleness notice on the page that carries the claim. If an agency changes a fee the day after we read it, the source link is the authority and we are not — which is why the link is on the page.
No Social Security number, ever. The questionnaire has no field for one, and no amount of detail we add will ever include one. The forms in your packet leave the SSN boxes and the signature boxes blank, because a signature we placed would not be yours.
No account. Delivery is a capability link. There is no login, no password, and no profile to delete later.
How a paid packet opens. Your packet link is unlisted, and where the deployment has email configured it is also gated: opening it requires a six-digit code we send to the email you used at checkout. No password exists, so there is no password to steal or reuse. The code is good for ten minutes and five attempts.
What we keep, and for how long. To deliver the packet you paid for we store the answers you gave us, keyed to your link: your state and the questions about your license, passport and voter registration, plus the email Stripe collected at checkout (used only to send access codes and never given to anyone) and whatever you chose to type into the name and detail steps — which may include your date of birth, address, contact details, physical description as your current ID shows it, and where you were born. Every one of those is optional, and every one goes on the forms you are filing anyway. After 90 days we erase all of it — the names and the details together. The purchase record — which state, which SKU, the amount and the dates — stays, for the refund and tax trail. Your packet page counts those days down before they run out, and the erasure runs on a timer whether or not you ask for it. Your name is never sent to Stripe: they receive the amount, your link's reference, and the state you chose.

Not the government, and not a lawyer substitute. RenameKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency. Every form in your packet is available free of charge from the agency that issues it — what you are paying for is the assembly, the ordering, the citations, and the pre-filling. RenameKit's software is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney; if you want legal advice about your situation, consult one. No attorney-client relationship is formed by buying or using a packet.
Liability and refunds. Our liability for anything arising from a packet is capped at what you paid for it. We refund a packet that was wrong, incomplete, or that you could not open: email support@renamekit.com within 30 days of purchase with the address you bought with and what went wrong, and we will refund it in full and fix what caused it. We do not refund because a name change turned out to be more paperwork than you hoped — the packet tells you what your state actually requires, and the free rundown shows you the shape of that before you pay. A refunded packet keeps working; we do not take back something you have already read.
What we decline. Court-ordered name changes are a county-by-county court filing. We decline that path with a stated reason rather than sell a packet that is right in some counties.
You have answered some of them. Leaving now clears those answers — there is no account holding them, so nothing is saved until you reach your packet.
